CAT is the pioneer provider of services to survivors and victims of torture in Kenya. CAT is a registered non-governmental organisation in Kenya. CAT is also accredited to International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT) https://irct.org/ .

Our Team

Mr. ABUBAKAR BARUSI JUMA (Director)

The Director and founder of CAT with a passion for helping the less fortunate in society and facilitating of victims of torture to get access to legal respresentation, awareness, medical attention and above all see to it that they are restored to their best self.

Miss. Mariam Suleiman (Secretary)

With 15 years experience in Activism and human rights. Mariam is best placed to handle any victims of torture and council them as she prepares them and hands them over to the proper support system.

Mrs. Mercy Atieno (Accountant)

Mercy a very competent accountant, with a passion for defending human rights is a vibrant part of our staff that not only does accounts but helps handle, help, council and facilitate victims of torture to get the support they need.
